Perth, Western Australia - Blackstone Minerals Limited (ASX: BLM) is delighted to announce the successful completion of key Vietnamese studies and the commencement of early contractor engagement for the Ta Khoa Refinery (TKR) Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). This marks an important milestone in the company's progress towards the development of the refinery project.

Blackstone Minerals recognizes the significance of engaging local contractors to maximize project value. These contractors possess a deep understanding of the Vietnamese business landscape, local culture, and expertise in their respective fields. Their involvement in the development of the Refinery DFS has been pivotal and will continue to play a major role in expediting construction and permitting timelines, ensuring the project is well-prepared for Vietnam, achieving competitive local pricing, and contributing to the overall success of the project.

During a recent visit to Vietnam, various companies were coordinated to confirm DFS study progress and advance early engagement activities. The key companies visited include Narime for plant and non-process infrastructure engineering and design, Scan Global Logistics for logistics studies, Tedi Wecco for port engineering and design, Hong Ha for access road upgrade and design, Global Green Energy Consulting for power infrastructure engineering and design, Vimluki for environmental impact assessment, and DRCC for social and economic baseline assessment.

Narime, as the lead in-country engineering consultant, continues to provide invaluable support to globally renowned Wood in the development of the Ta Khoa Refinery DFS. Leveraging their wealth of local knowledge and experience, Narime has surpassed expectations, ensuring a higher level of accuracy in engineering and reducing project risks.

Blackstone Minerals is looking forward to further engagement with Narime to benefit from their insight into construction, fabricators, material availability, labor rates, and project management techniques. The company has also commenced early engagement with Vietnamese fabricators and contractors. During the site visit, the Blackstone team explored some of the world's largest fabrication companies and facilities, known for their diverse client base in thermal power plants, oil and gas, refining, cement, and steel fabrication plants across Asia, Europe, the US, and Australia. All of these companies adhere to international standards and have ISO accreditation.

Blackstone Minerals remains committed to exploring and partnering with local fabricators and constructors in Vietnam to ensure that Vietnamese pricing is accurately captured during the Ta Khoa Project procurement process. With the completion of key Vietnamese studies and the active engagement of local contractors, Blackstone Minerals is making significant progress towards the progress of the Ta Khoa Refinery project.
