Both Parents passed. I am 27, please help. Any advice is appreciated and needed - Hello,

I am 27 and lost my mother in 2015 due to cirrhosis of Liver. I was left with just me and my father , he passed away unexpectedly with a heart attack overnight last week. I am distraught scared and having trouble accepting it. I am need of any help I can get. Please I beg.


The home is Evaluated around 500k- 600k and my father had an original Mortgage with around 90k at max remaining. AS well as HELOC with active Balance of 86k.


I NEED TO KEEP THE HOME . IT WILL BE MY ONLY ASSET REMAINING , no life insurance very minimal 401k would not been able to retire. This is all a lot on me and I would love to speak to someone that’s knowledgeable or can assist in any way.

I have a W2 that thankfully will allow me to continue current monthly payments without issue . Although I am worried if and when I do report death how the HELOC AND ORIGINAL MORTGAGE WILL ALLOW ME TO ASSUME .


My credit score was in 680 has recently dropped over past year after having credit account closed without my knowledge currently shows 590-640 between Experian , credit karma etc my job will allow me to bring this up within next 6 months .


Please advise on what I should do and if I need to let mortgages know of death or continue payments through his account but my money .


Have reached out to probate lawyer to start that process as well


Any advice please idk who else to ask
