Electricity Bill Shock - Just moved into a small apartment after living in houses my whole life. Received first bill for 30 days of electricity usage - a whopping $300! Is this my new normal? There’s just 2 of us and we’re paying $1 a day service fee and 28c per KWH. Have dryer, electric water tank and mounted split system unit they we use rarely. Live like normal, 7 min showers / dryer on couple times a week / heat on once a week. Called up the supplier who said this is the actual meter reading and we’ve somehow churned through 800 KWH in a month. Anyone else in an apartment and cop this sort of usage?Ausfinance
