As the race for lithium exploration heats up, James Bay Minerals (JBY) has made a significant breakthrough at its Aero Property in James Bay, Quebec. The company has reported elevated lithium readings from the portable LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) analyzer, highlighting the presence of this valuable mineral within the Hawker and Gauntlet pegmatites at the property. This discovery marks a crucial step towards potential lithium production in the region.

LIBS Analyzer Reveals Encouraging Lithium Content

The James Bay field exploration team conducted tests using the SciAps LIBS Z-903 device, focusing on a green mineral identified in outcrop and rock/channel samples from various locations within the Hawker and Gauntlet pegmatites. The portable LIBS analyzer provided spot analysis, specifically targeting the green mineral within the pegmatite. The results showed significantly anomalous lithium content, indicating the presence of a potentially valuable lithium mineralization.
