Successful Pilot Plant Operations
Galan Lithium Limited (ASX: GLN) has announced the successful production of a premium quality (6% Li) lithium chloride concentrate product from its 100% owned Hombre Muerto West (HMW) pilot plant in Catamarca Province, Argentina. The pilot plant has confirmed predictive lithium concentration models and process designs for the HMW project.

The (6% Li) lithium chloride concentrate product is equivalent to 13% Li20 or 31. 9% LCE, cementing Galan's position as a key player in the global lithium market. The company has indicated that lithium chloride samples will be distributed to potential off-take partners.
Next Steps
Galan Lithium has commenced preparations and engineering designs for a lithium carbonate pilot plant using lithium chloride produced at HMW. A Phase 1 full construction permit and Phase 2 DFS are both advancing, with expectations for Q3 2023.

On-Track Deliverables
Preparations for the HMW project Phase 1 works, including a new camp and topsoil removal, remain on track for delivery in 2025, with an expected production rate of 5. 4ktpa LCE. Additionally, main pond 1 clearing is 80% complete, with a continuous brine concentration process to continue through 2023 and into 2024.
