James Bay Minerals Unveils 123 LCT Pegmatite Targets with Game-Changing LiDAR Analysis

James Bay Minerals (ASX: JBY) has announced a significant leap in lithium exploration, revealing a trove of 123 high-priority LCT pegmatite targets across its Aqua Property in Quebec, Canada. This groundbreaking achievement follows an extensive airborne LiDAR survey combined with high-resolution photography conducted by Perron Hudon Belanger (PHB) across the La Grande Lithium Project.

Revolutionizing Exploration with LiDAR Technology

The use of LiDAR technology has allowed James Bay Minerals to create a comprehensive topographical image, analyzing variations in slope, aspect, and elevation, crucial in identifying potential geological structures. By employing this sophisticated method, the exploration team successfully identified prominent areas boasting geological features consistent with Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatites.

Andrew Dornan, Executive Director of James Bay Minerals, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "This revelation of over 120 LCT pegmatite targets on our Aqua Property, in tandem with recent discoveries nearby, significantly heightens our confidence in the potential for a substantial lithium discovery. "

Pioneering a Path to Discovery

In collaboration with Breakaway Exploration, James Bay Minerals is set to embark on a comprehensive field mapping program across the Aqua Property, aiming to analyze and validate the newly generated LCT pegmatite targets from LiDAR and high-resolution photography. The scheduled field program, slated for the first half of 2024, is poised to unravel the full potential of these identified targets.

LiDAR, known for its precision in creating high-resolution surface models, holds immense promise in uncovering hidden pegmatites concealed beneath vegetation. By leveraging this technology, James Bay Minerals seeks to tap into unexplored resources and bolster its efforts to make significant lithium discoveries in the region.

Forging a New Frontier in Lithium Exploration

James Bay Minerals stands at the forefront of lithium exploration, boasting one of the largest lithium exploration portfolios in the James Bay region. Spanning an area of 34,572 hectares, the Joule, Aero, and Aqua properties, located in the La Grande sub-province, hold immense promise for lithium prospects.

With the Troilus Project positioned in close proximity to established lithium projects, the company's strategic positioning alongside notable lithium discoveries underscores its commitment to unlocking the region's lithium potential.
