Is moving in with a friend worth it to save $500 per month after living alone for 5 years? - Late 20s F. Opportunity to live with a friend. Would save $550 per month.
Currently paying about $2000 for rent and utilities. Take home each month is $5000 but annual bonus $10k-$40k, most of which goes to savings. $95k total savings including retirement investments.
Considering the move for a change of scenery. But would also be moving further from gym friends and my current apartment is an 8 minute walk to the beach. but it would also be 20 mins closer to bf.
Any thoughts on saving that $550 per month? Any one move in with roommates (or friends) after living alone and it worked out well?Personal Finance
