Volt Resources Natural Graphite Anode Delivers Promising Results
Volt Resources, the energy company focused on producing and supplying materials for renewable energy storage solutions, has released its Quarterly Activities Report for the period ending June 30, 2023, highlighting key accomplishments and upcoming developments.
Bunyu Stage 1 Feasibility Study Nearing Completion
The revised Stage 1 Feasibility Study for the Bunyu Graphite Project, which was announced in July 2022, is close to completion, with an ASX release expected in August 2023. Despite cost inflation and rising interest rates, Volt has managed to maintain control over both capital and operating expenses, resulting in projected economics that are superior to the results from the 2018 Feasibility Study. Volt is currently in financing discussions with multiple partners.
Zavalievsky Graphite Restarts Production
Production at Volt's Zavalievsky Graphite facility resumed in April 2023 after a winter shutdown. During the first production campaign, which ran from April to May 2023, the plant produced 1,015 tonnes of graphite. Preparations are now underway for the second production campaign, which will begin in August 2023.

Volt's Natural Graphite Anode Delivers Promising Results
Volt's North America-based technology partner successfully produced Natural Graphite Anode (NGA) material using Volt's natural flake graphite. The material was incorporated into a 32650-format lithium-ion battery and tested for cycle life, one of the key metrics for batteries in electric vehicle applications. The results were highly encouraging, showing long cycle life exceeding typical industry targets. The evaluation of natural graphite anode is also underway with two more customers.
