Why Has Wildcat Resources Chosen to Resume Diamond Drilling at Tabba Tabba?
Wildcat Resources Ltd Advances Exploration at Tabba Tabba Lithium Project
January 9, 2024 - Wildcat Resources Ltd (ASX: WC8), an Australian lithium developer, has announced the resumption of diamond drilling activities at its Tabba Tabba Lithium Project near Port Hedland, WA. This initiative marks a significant step in the company's commitment to exploring and developing lithium resources.
Key Developments in the Tabba Tabba Project
Following a brief pause during the Christmas break, drilling operations have recommenced with a focus on exploring the Leia and other pegmatite targets within the project.
Infrastructure Enhancements for Efficient Drilling
Significant upgrades have been made to the site camp and infrastructure, including weatherproofing and expansion, to support an intensive, year-round drilling schedule.
New Leadership and Project Management
AJ Saverimutto has begun his tenure as Managing Director, bringing renewed leadership and direction to the project.

within the lithium market. It is situated 47km from Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora Project and 87km from Mineral Resources’ Wodgina Project.
Exploration Potential of Leia Pegmatite
The Leia Pegmatite, a primary focus of the exploration, is part of a 3.2km long field comprising six significant pegmatite prospects. These prospects remain open for further exploration, promising substantial lithium yields.
Scaling Up Exploration Capacity
The company plans to bring additional diamond drilling rigs to the site, enhancing its exploration capabilities. This will include systematic drilling within the known boundaries of the Leia pegmatite to increase geological understanding and facilitate technical studies.
Further Exploration of Untested Pegmatite Systems
In addition to the ongoing drilling, Wildcat Resources intends to explore other pegmatite systems within the lease package that have not yet been fully tested or followed up.
Leadership and Future Plans

With AJ Saverimutto as Managing Director and the upcoming appointment of Tim Manners as CFO, the company is poised for strategic growth and development.
Next Steps in the Tabba Tabba Project
Wildcat Resources plans to continue bringing on additional drill rigs, commence infill drilling at Leia, and progress with permitting and evaluation studies. The company also aims to prepare composite samples from diamond core for metallurgical test work.
About the Tabba Tabba Lithium-Tantalum Project
Tabba Tabba is an advanced lithium and tantalum exploration project located on granted Mining Leases, just 80km from Port Hedland. The project, previously owned by Sons of Gwalia and last among the significant LCT pegmatite projects in WA, offers significant upside for lithium exploration.
Historical Context and Current Prospects
The project, historically focused on tantalum, now presents a significant opportunity for lithium exploration. Recent drilling results have confirmed thick intersections of lithium mineralized pegmatites, underscoring the potential of Leia as a Tier-1 lithium pegmatite.
With the recommencement of diamond drilling and the significant progress made in infrastructure and leadership, Wildcat Resources Ltd is solidifying its position in the lithium market. The Tabba Tabba Lithium Project, with its promising pegmatite prospects and strategic location, is set to play a pivotal role in the company's growth and contribution to the global lithium supply chain.
