Why is Global Lithium Resources Advancing the Manna Lithium Project?
Global Lithium Resources Limited (ASX: GL1) is making significant progress in the development of its Manna Lithium Project, located 100 kilometers east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The company has provided an update on the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and metallurgical testwork program, highlighting the positive results obtained thus far.
Metallurgical Testwork Demonstrates Promising Results
Global Lithium has conducted a comprehensive metallurgical testwork program at the Nagrom Laboratory in Perth, Western Australia. This testwork program is crucial in assessing the feasibility of extracting lithium from the ore at the Manna Lithium Project. The company, along with support from Wave International, is actively involved in directing the testwork program and progressing the DFS.
Selection of Whole of Ore Flotation Circuit
Based on the initial metallurgical testwork, Global Lithium has chosen to implement a whole of ore flotation circuit at the Manna Lithium Project. This circuit has shown excellent recovery rates and produced a spodumene concentrate

(SC) with a grade ranging from 5.6% to 6.5% Li2O and 0.4% to 0.8% Fe2O3. Spodumene is a mineral that contains high concentrations of lithium and is a valuable source for lithium extraction.
High Recovery Rates and Potential for Improvement
The metallurgical testwork has demonstrated a spodumene rougher flotation recovery rate of over 95% with a Li2O grade of 5.5% or higher. The initial test results indicate an overall lithia recovery rate of 70% for composite ore samples containing spodumene. Global Lithium has identified opportunities to further improve both the grade and recovery rates through ongoing optimization testwork.
Enhancing Capacity with Ore Sorting Technology
Global Lithium is exploring the inclusion of ore sorting technology at the Manna Lithium Project. This technology has the potential to increase the nameplate capacity of the spodumene concentrate by 20%. By implementing ore sorting technology, the company aims to maximize the efficiency of the extraction process and enhance the productivity of the project.
Progressing Towards Approvals and Infrastructure Development
Negotiations for the native title mining agreement and the overall approvals process are progressing as scheduled. Global Lithium is committed to engaging with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations. Discussions for the development of key infrastructure and access to ports are also progressing positively, which will be crucial for the transportation of lithium products.
Advancement in Financing and Funding Arrangements
Global Lithium is actively advancing its financing and funding arrangements for the Manna Lithium Project. Securing the necessary funds will ensure smooth project execution and support the company's growth strategy in becoming a leading lithium producer in Western Australia.
Conclusion
Global Lithium Resources is making remarkable progress in the development of the Manna Lithium Project. The positive metallurgical testwork results, selection of an efficient flotation circuit, and potential implementation of ore sorting technology all contribute to the overall feasibility and profitability of the project. With the native title mining agreement, approvals process, and infrastructure development on track, Global Lithium is moving closer to realizing the Manna Lithium Project's full potential.

Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.
